Meredith and Vic met with the oncologist today and he reviewed her chest x rays, which looked good! The doctor scheduled her surgery for Friday morning 10:30 central time. He warned her that it would be pretty invasive and she would be under general anesthesia as opposed to the outpatient procedure we were hoping for. However, Meredith and Vic liked the doctor and the initial results seem to be encouraging. No word yet on staging. PET scan scheduled for this afternoon at 4:30 central, so hopefully we will know more soon!
PLEASE PRAY for clear PET scan! Results should be available tomorrow.
I will keep posting updates as I receive them.

Praying for your sister. My sister-in-law was recently diagnosed with stage 3c breast cancer and has been undergoing treatments for 3 months. She has a doctor at MD Anderson and then has her chemo in Memphis. She has two baby girls to take care of during all of this too. She will have surgery in Houston after the next round of a very high dose chemo. I know for her it was very hard at first and she really was almost hopeless eventhough she was given a good prognosis. Once she met other survivors her spirits started lifting, so that is something to think about. Cancer is definitely one of the scariest things out there, but not only is your sister being taken care of by a top doctor, I know God is watching over her. Lots of prayers during a very difficult time.
praying for Meredith!!

Love you so much and am praying for God to just "WOW" us with the scan.(I just love to be "WOWED" by God) I'm so glad we call to the one who created her to heal her! Praying for his healing hand to touch her. Here for you girl!---Your favorite cousin, Angela =)

Praying for Meredith and the whole family!
Thank you so much for keeping everyone updated. Thanks to technology we can have people praying almost immediately worldwide for all of our urgent needs. GOD is GOOD, GOD is GREAT, GOD is FAITHFUL, GOD is LOVE, GOD is IN CONTROL, GOD is PRESENT and POWERFUL. GOD is our HEALER!!!! Psm. 139 is such a comfort in times like these-He knew every day of Meredith's life before she was even born. I'm praying that none of you will miss one morsel of what God has in it for each of you through this journey. Praying right now for a great scan result and for Friday's surgery to be the end of your family's short brush with cancer.
I will be thinking of you all, especially friday morning.
